Adventure Escape: Cult Mystery Mod is a linear narrative puzzle game developed by Haiku Games. The player controls detective Kate Grey, investigating the disappearance of a friend who joined a mysterious cult. Gameplay consists of exploring static scenes, finding hidden objects, and solving logic-based puzzles to advance the story. The primary mod feature is accessed via a persistent overlay button. This button appears as a small, translucent icon in the top-right corner of the screen after launching Adventure Escape: Cult Mystery Mod. Tapping this icon opens a compact mod menu. From this menu, you toggle 'Infinite Hints' and 'Skip Puzzle' states on or off. The menu remains accessible across all game scenes.
The mod requires Android 2.3.3 or higher. It does not require root access. Installation requires approximately 110 MB of free storage for the APK and OBB data.
Installation follows a standard sideload process. First, download the modded APK file. Second, enable installation from unknown sources in your device security settings. Third, use a file manager to locate and tap the downloaded APK to install. Fourth, if an OBB data folder is provided, move it to the Android/obb/com.haikugamesco.escapecult/ directory before launching the game.
Several edge cases exist. The mod menu may not render correctly on devices using custom ROMs with aggressive battery optimization. Skipping a puzzle sometimes causes the subsequent story dialogue to trigger twice. Progress saved using the mod is fully compatible with the official version of Adventure Escape: Cult Mystery Mod, but restoring from a cloud save may revert unlocked premium items. The mod functions entirely offline.
